Pumpkin Bucket List

Fun way to enjoy more pumpkinโค๏ธ

.

Fun factย โžก๏ธDid you know that The State of Illinois produces about 90% of the Pumpkins in the US? We are learning about Molly for our American Girl Doll History Class and came across thatโค๏ธ

Gathered Thoughts

Recently,I have been doing a study on Habakkuk from the #thedailygraceco Let me start by saying that even though I have read through the Bible several times and knew it was a book of the Bible , I really had no idea what it was about.

.

Itโ€™s a super short book but there is so much in there. Habakkuk is living in a time between kingdoms . The Babylonians are ruling the roost and Habakkuk is overwhelmed at what he sees and doesnโ€™t understand why God is allowing all of these things. He starts with telling God all of this and asking why havenโ€™t you done anything and where are you in this. And guess what? Does God stay silent? No.  He answers him .And in his response , you see no condemnation .. you see love and gentleness. Again Habakkuk responds with more complaints   His heart and soul are so overwhelmed and he is grieving not really knowing how to continue and to keep going. Guess what? God responds again, not in a fussy way of oh come on get it together attitude, but in a loving gentle way . The book ends with Habakkuk praising God .

.

There are seasons where the mud we are treading turns to concrete and you feel so stuck that you canโ€™t move. Trust me, I have been there. In those moments,Itโ€™s so easy to complain, want to give up and lose hope. What if we looked at that concrete filtered through what God says and what his word says? Maybe the mud turned to concrete to keep us still ? To hold us in place as God works? To keep us from running ahead to fix it in our timing ?

.

This verse is one I have claimed being ground in by the concrete around my feet . I will chose to take joy in the God of my Salvation even when I can not see any fruit of what he may be doing. I will trust.

.

I pray that if you are reading this and treading mud or being held still by concrete, that you will keep your eyes on God. He is working even when we cannot see or when we donโ€™t understand. I am praying for you today โค๏ธ

One of my favorite things this fall season ๐Ÿ‚

This beautiful journal. Itโ€™s been a great addition to my quiet time . It invites me to write scripture, share my thoughts and write out a prayer each time I open it up.

.

Journaling has always been a struggle to me , but there is something freeing when I do. It almost feels as though it empties all my thoughts and allows me to refresh.

.

Ofcourse, the best part is being able to go back and read how God was working and moving in that season .

Welcome October

Hello Octoberย ๐Ÿ

.

Itโ€™s been a bit since I have posted . Life and everything inbetween has happened the last few months and I needed to  just focus on God and my Family.

.

One of the things I have learned over the last few months, is itโ€™s ok to not be ok. Itโ€™s ok to show I donโ€™t have it together . There were moments of meeting with a friend , that my heart was so heavy I couldnโ€™t help but have tears in my eyes. Iโ€™m thankful,so thankful, for those friends who stopped to pray and didnโ€™t push for answers . Sometimes, just sitting with a friend in their mess is exactly what they need.

.

Another thing I learned was that I can only do so much. As much as I would love to be Wonder Woman and have eight arms to do everything ,I am not. Ofcourse , trying to reconcile that with my type A attitude was the hardest. To do what I can do to the fullest each day and let everything else fall away meant there where times the list didnโ€™t get done. The dishes were left in the sink , we had cereal for dinner or the project got put on hold. It was uncomfortable but guess what it was OK.

.

It did help me appreciate each new morning . New day , new opportunities. Appreciate the power of prayer and friends that have walked with my family .

.

No matter where you find yourself on this October day .. I pray that you will be able to live today to the fullest, let go of what needs to be let go of andย ย connect with a friend. Life is so much better when we share it with othersย ๐Ÿ

Stacking Spiders

Stack the spider was a fun dice game we played for math.๐Ÿ•ท
.

The little’s competed rolling the dice and seeing who could get the most spiders or bats on their straw before we ran out or the straw was full.
.

Play-Doh Fall Fun Center

Play-doh is so much fun for my little to play with and easily provides an hour or so quiet time for me when .. win for both of us!
.
So I decided to take it up a notch and add some play-doh ( I also found sparkle play-doh โœจ ) and some fun things to mix in and create with like eyeballs, pipe cleaners, buttons, spiders, bats and jewels

.
It turned out so cute! My daughter had a friend over and they played with the kits making all kinds of creations. Ofcourse ,the sparkly jewels and glitter play-doh was their favorites โค๏ธAnd I caught the older kids stopping by to watch them and I think secretly wanting to play with it themselves ๐Ÿ˜

Here are some of the resources to create your own ..The box to store it is different then the one we used but looks like it would still work and maybe even for travel. When you click on our links below,we receive a portion of your sale..thank you for supporting our blog๐Ÿ’›

Gathered thoughts

Welcome November

November is usually a time when throughout the month on various platforms, you will see daily gratitude for the whole month ๐Ÿ
.
I always go into the month excited to share all the wonderful blessings each day . Somewhere into the month, life happens and I miss a day , then several , then I just try to finish the month so I can be done with the whole thing
.
What started out as a good thing, usually leaves me with feelings of not so grateful by the time it is done
.
This morning, as we prepare in a hotel in Tennessee,to go to a funeral we never dreamed we would be at this soon , the thoughts of gratefulness flood my mind
.
Our thankfulness today is the hope that God gave us through His Son , Jesus. Because of Jesus,
this isnโ€™t goodbye, itโ€™s โ€œIโ€™ll see you againโ€ and for that we are so thankful ๐Ÿ
.
Iโ€™m not going to plan on posting daily , but I am hoping to post when there are these moments of gratitude that I donโ€™t want to miss ,show up โค๏ธNot doing a checklist of completion , but some gathered moments of gratefulness ๐Ÿ
.
Jesus said to her, โ€œI am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?โ€ (โ€ญโ€ญJohnโ€ฌ โ€ญ11โ€ฌโ€ฌ:โ€ญ25-26โ€ฌ ESV)
